Robot

I'm losing my slight grip on myself
Melting at my seams
I'm not sure when the Crack appeared
nevertheless it did
it grows bigger almost everyday
soon I won't remember my name
soon I'll be just like the rest
A Robot
Oiled and kept shiny for patrons
Mindless to all but work
Soon I will enter their ranks
be sucked down into the bottomless pit
Try as I might to rise above
My foot is caught in the sinkhole
The wool that covers me is white.
